Otoplasty (correction of flapping ears)

Otoplasty is the surgical correction of proeminent or flapping ears, reshaping the ear and approaching it to the mastoid retroauricular region. This surgical intervention is usually performed by 5 - 6 years, since at this stage 85% of ear dimensions are reached, and for social and psychological reasons, as it coincides with the entry of children in school.
