Perineum reconstruction

Several pathologies may involve the perineal region, including urogenital neoplasms, agenesis, infectious and inflammatory processes, and radiotherapy sequelae. Surgical treatments include enlarged resections with wide debridements and lymph node dissections, which usually cause defects of different dimensions and locations requiring reconstruction. Reconstructive procedures range from skin grafts to microsurgical free flaps.
